As the weather starts to get colder and the days get shorter, many people have a tendency to forget to administer flea and tick prevention. This is a common mistake, and one that leads to tons of frustration for pets and owners. With the colder temperatures approaching, flea and tick infestations tend to spike. These parasites are attracted to warmth. You and your furry friend(s) are nice and warm, and as you walk through the grass, past bushes and trees, those pesky parasites are drawn to you. So, save you and your pet the frustration of flea and tick infestations and remember their monthly (or every 3 month if you are giving Bravecto) prevention.
I just wanted to give everyone a heads-up and/or reminder about the dangers of xylitol. Most of you have heard the word "xylitol" (an artificial sweetener added to many gums, candies and foods), but many of you are not aware of the dangers of this commonly used sweetener. Xylitol is EXTREMELY toxic to dogs!!! 1 piece of sugar-free gum that is sweetened with xylitol can lead to advanced liver disease/failure and/or death for a 60-pound dog. Please do NOT take this lightly....if your pet has consumed anything with xylitol (NO MATTER THE AMOUNT), please call us 336-644-87889 and/or animal poison control 888-426-4435.
I just wanted to give everyone a head's up that you will be seeing some changes to the building over the next several weeks to months. We are taking down the big blue awning! For those of you who are used to seeing the bright blue and lights to help you around that bend at night, not to worry...we will have a blue metal roof and lighting! We are replacing the awning with a new A-frame structure and metal roof. We will be open during most of the construction. When the new concrete is poured, there is a chance we may have to be closed one Saturday in May, but I will give you as much notice as possible! If you have any questions, comments - or suggestions :-) feel free to give us a call and/or send us an email.
It's time for some spring cleaning. Now is the perfect time to brush out all of that winter undercoat, clean those ears and get your best friend smelling great! Mention this offer and receive 10% off all baths in the month of April. Hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weather!!! Happy spring my friends.
Due to the large number of requests over the past 2 years, we have now started boarding! We have limited space, so we are reserving our boarding for clients/patients only. This has been working nicely, especially for those pets who are normally anxious when boarding, recovering from surgeries, puppies who need taken out more frequently and kitties who need a quiet environment.
If you would like to make a reservation and/or have additional questions, please call us at 336-644-8789 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
It's that time again! The time when we make resolutions to eat better, workout & lose weight. Don't try to do it alone! Making changes & sticking to goals is easier with friends. So, get your furry friend involved-I promise they will benefit too!
Every November we work to raise money and donations for local animal rescue groups. No donation is too small. Please take the time to donate any of the following items:
Any and all donations are SO very appreciated!!! Thank you for your kindness and support.
